Haley + Derek: Minnesota Winter Wedding at Grand Superior Lodge

Haley & Derek got married at Grand Superior Lodge in Two Harbors, MN on February 29th, 2020. It was the perfect “up north” wedding along Lake Superior and lets just say we TOTALLY lucked out with the weather! I could not have imagined a better Minnesota winter wedding to be part of and to photograph! Haley & Derek are so down to earth and were up for any photo adventure I suggested(even if it meant getting the dress a little dirty lol). I have been photographing at Grand Superior Lodge for about 5 years now & the thing I love most about the venue is that it creates a space for friends and family to enjoy a fun and relaxing weekend together on the lake! Their wedding party was honestly a blast to photograph, from the girls getting ready in the cabin, to the boys drinking beers in the parking lot! The moment I walked into the girls cabin I could feel positive vibes & see girls sipping on mimosas while “Oohing and awwing” at how gorgeous Haley was, this is exactly the wedding vibes I am all about! & let’s just say I am SO happy that Derek and Haley were down to spend plenty of time during golden hour for photos(so worth it)! It was one of those weddings where I never wanted to stop photographing and I could have partied with them all night long! lol. Enjoy!
